The Turning Point: Weatherization and Self-Realization

Kevin’s breakthrough came with an unexpected opportunity in weatherization, leading to a lucrative career. However, despite the external markers of success – a high-paying job, a sports car, winning a bodybuilding show, and a relationship with a model – Kevin found himself grappling with a profound sense of emptiness and a near-suicidal moment. This crisis led him to leave his job and pursue his passion for podcasting, a decision that marked the birth of The Next Level University podcast.

Building The Next Level University Podcast

Embarking on a new path, Kevin and his business partner committed to creating a leading self-improvement company. Starting with a podcast that was more a passion than a business venture, they gradually expanded their services, offering coaching, social media management, website development, retreats, and live events. Their focus: providing holistic self-improvement resources to their audience.

Overcoming Challenges and Scaling Success

Throughout his journey, Kevin encountered numerous obstacles, from dealing with imposter syndrome to navigating the intricacies of live events. His approach to overcoming these challenges was multi-pronged:

  1. Identifying Genius Zones: Recognizing and focusing on areas of strength.
  2. Scaling the Unscalable: Establishing a genuine connection with the audience through personalized interactions.
  3. Leveraging Tools, Training, and Team: Continuously improving through learning and effective delegation.

The Future of Next Level University

Looking ahead, Kevin envisions expanding his reach within the podcasting industry and sharing his insights from over 2,000 episodes. The Next Level University plans to continue its daily podcast episodes while exploring new ventures like retreats and expanding into coaching other podcasters.

Scott has an entrepreneurial spirit that’s been burning since his teenage years. Back then, he was mowing lawns, managing paper routes, and selling greeting cards door to door – always finding different ways to put some cash in his pocket! Seven years ago, he and his wife, Jenn, took the plunge and started their own business. Like many others, they spent all their time on the struggle bus – dealing with cash flow, payroll, and questioning whether their doors could even stay open. Ultimately, they persevered and learned some incredibly valuable lessons along the way.

Now, Scott is dedicated to helping others avoid the pitfalls he faced, fulfilling his purpose as a coach, and helping owners and teams achieve their dreams. When he’s not guiding businesses toward success, Scott can be found hitting the gym, on the golf course, or racking up miles on his Peloton.
